A long long time ago my father Matteo was the first of his large family to move from Sicily to New York to live the American dream. My father was a baker in Brooklyn where I was born. We moved to Long Island where my father opened up his first Pizzeria in Riverhead New York. Over the years his business grew to 15 pizzerias throughout New York. I learned to be a pizzaiolo from my father & my older brother Giuseppe. Today I am the last of five brothers to carry on my fatherβs tradition, using his same recipe & technique to make NY style pizza π
